Jiufen A Hillsides Village

Jiufen is a getaway destination northeast of Taipei. Nestled in the hillsides, it is a refreshing retreat, with good scenery and interesting town scenes.

Many of these lowrises dot the hillsides overlooking the ocean.







This is the view. Imagine looking at this every day.





The main town consists of several streets lined with shops on both sides, and crowds in the middle. The extended roofs and store signs then block the sunlight out.















Street food is quite popular in Taiwan. No exception here.

Smelly tofu in Taiwan tastes a little different than the ones in Hong Kong. Despite the smell, they taste quite good.
